Linda Walker, Counselling.

Hello, my name is Linda Walker, welcome to my web site.
I offer counselling and psychotherapy in Bristol and have experience in the field of alcohol and drug addiction.

I am a BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist and I have worked as a therapist in Bristol for 18 years.

In addition to working with general issues, and I have listed some examples below, I also have experience of addiction counselling in Bristol particularly counselling clients who are seeking help with alcohol and drug addiction.

I trained at the University of the West of England in Integrative Counselling.

These are some examples of the sorts of difficulties I work with ....

You are experiencing feelings of depression, anxiety or panic attacks

May be concerned about your use of alcohol and worrying you may have an addiction

Are feeling low self esteem and excessively anxious in social situations.

You are struggling to cope with a recent or past bereavement

Feeling your anger is out of control or maybe not able to get angry when it might be appropriate to do so.

Are in the middle of a life crisis.

Having relationship difficulties, with peers, partner or children.

Struggling with career choices, work and life balance or problems at work such as bullying.

Have been diagnosed as H.I.V. positive or worried you may be at risk of H.I.V.

Pleae note I can work with you around any difficulties in your relationship with a partner but I do not work with couples.

I also have training and experience of counselling clients who are struggling with their use of , alcohol and drugs, are H.I.V. positive and of working with students and young people (over 18 years).

I work in Bristol from practices in St. Andrews, Bristol
(Tuesday &afternoon and evening) and from a practice on the Henleaze/Bishopston borders. . All of these rooms have good parking and easily accessible from the Gloucester Road and bus routes in and out of Bristol.

The Henleaze practice is off Kellaway Avenue and a 5 minutes walk from the Ashley Down end of Gloucester Road. The St. Andrews practice is near Sommerville Road.

There is no charge for the initial session .

I charge £40 with concessions available. Please enquire about this.

I usually have evening appointments available at St. Andrews and at West Broadway, Henleaze/Bishopston.


At our first meeting I will listen to you and we can explore what you are looking for from counselling and I will help you to decide what would work best for you.
